In parallel to his sculptures, Knopp Ferro also works on paper, making pen drawings, knife drawings and "early morning drawings", also in India ink on paper. The common factor of all studies is their delicate, almost lyrical quality. The delicacy of the knife drawings is increased by the fact that they lack any color, the lines only scored on the sheet with the knife.
Although line and point are the focus of the drawings, they are not designs for the sculptures, but completely independent of them. In some cases, the objective nature is indicated. They appear to be mind supports and memories, as well as attempts to create new forms. The delicate drawings are created quickly, with a light touch.
